Scheduled Class Times: The LTC class starts at 8:30 am and end between 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. including range time.
Where: Classes meet at 8871 Tallwood Dr. (183 & MoPac area). Range portion is usually held at the Austin Rifle Club.
Cost: $75.00 for the scheduled course. We accept check, cash or credit card. Payment is due when the class begins. The cost includes instructional materials, testing, range fees, target and certificate.
Register for Class: Sign up and provide information regarding which class you wish to attend and a phone number.
Private Classes: If you and your friends or coworkers would like to put together a class at your home or office, we can arrange our schedule to meet your group's needs. We can do weekdays after work or during the day. These classes can be provided in the comfort of your own home/office with one-to-one instruction, the information is provided at your pace. Sign up
Beginners: If you have little or no experience firing a pistol, consider taking an First Steps Pistol Course.
The First Steps Pistol course is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to a specific pistol action type. The training is usually one-to-one, but may include more students. This course is at least three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type. Students will learn the rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook and NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure.Cost:The First Steps Pistol course is $100.00. All training is private instruction. The class portion is typically held at your location and then we go to a range. The class can be 1-3 individuals. If you do not have a handgun, you can rent a handgun and 50 rounds of ammunition for $25.00.

DPS is now requiring prior to becoming a CHL Instructor you must be either:
1) Certified as an NRA pistol instructor
2) Certified by TCLOSE as a pistol instructor
3) Certified by the Private Securities Board as a pistol instructor
4) Certified as a pistol instructor under some other nationally recognized program of instruction.
We will be scheduling classes throughout the year based on needs. Contact me if you need to be certified. All classes will be in the Austin area.
